If insured changes the description/ nature/type of his vehicle during the currency of insurance policy without informing the insurer.What would be its effect vis-vis the liability of the insurer in a third party claim.

Insurance matter is not covered under Consumer Protection Act,lodge a complain to the Insurance Ombudsman and also Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority.

Insurance disputes are regularly adjudicated by the Consumer Forum and the insured persons are regularly compensated by it though the Ombudsman can mediate as well.

In that circumstances the agreement for insurance gets cancelled at the option of Insurer.
