Whether contempt of court can filed

A case was pending in the high court between punjab wakf board and opponent party.High Court Issued Status regarding possession be maintained.Now so called muslim leader started cutting the tree and demolihing the old wall.Will you pls guide me whether contempt of court proceeding can be filed against the so called leader and where it can be filed in the high court or civil court

Thanks for valuable guidence.But concerned person is not party in the but a local Muslim leader.Then how can a contempt petition be filed against him

Then you can file a complaint against local police station that he is trying to usurp the wakf property, contempt can lie against the parties to the suit.

There are chances, the said illegal act would have been committed at the instigation of the party.

More over it is the responsibility of the party maintain the status quo.

So, file the contempt petition.
