sir will trail court or highcourts will consider or admit 161 statments. are they valid statements? any case law or judgement is there regarding this aspect? plz suggest sir.

161 statements have no value unless the same is repeated by the witness in court.
Any contradiction goes to strengthen the case of the defence.

The 161 statement has no value, the prosecution has to prove it in the court. It will help the police to get some info.

section 162 Criminal Procedure Code say that the statement recorded under section 161 can be used only for that case for the purpose of contradictions and cannot be used elese where in any legal proceeding.
