Stepfather suranme to daughters.

Good Day,
I got recently married to a widow(she lost her husband a couple of months ago).She has two daughters with age 7 and 11 respectively. I am living in Hyderabad,Andhra pradesh ,India.
Can you pl advise the necessary steps required to change their surnames of their bio father into mine. Also how do i get a DOB certificates with stepfathers surname or will they remain unchanged permanently ? Also i want the caste to be changed to stepfather's Caste. I have to admit daughters in the school now. Can you Pl help me out ASAP.

For change of surname you have to get them affirm affidavit from the 1st class Magistrate and then make a gazette notification.
Caste can be changes at will.
Only time and upbringing under your case would determine their caste specially if you are of reserved category.

CASTE:
A person was elected, claimed Muslim by caste, in bhayandar Municipal corporation.
Another councilor proved, he was a christian born, thrown in dustbin BY HIS MOTHER BEING UNMARRIED, picked up by Muslim and as childless, was bought up as muslim.
Court held, he is not muslim, and cannot claim reserved seat, and was disqualified, lost his seat.
So BIRTH in that caste is important,FOR CASTE not how and where person was bought-up, or adopted.
CASTE CANNOT BE CHANGED AT WILL.
OTHERWISE RESERVATION FOR MEDICAL SEAT, PARLIAMENT. JOBS, WILL BE SECURED BY CHANGING CASTE.

I fully endorse the views of Shroff. Caste cannot be changed and moreover you cannot get changed the name of biological father with you because you come in the picture now and on that basis the old entries cannot be changed.
