I come to know that the present law of gratuity after 5 years is going to change from 5 years to 3 years. Can some one tell me what is the fact

there is no amendment in gratuity act. hence five year eligibility now also applies. In case of you serviced 4 years and 240 days and if you were denied for gratuity then you can approach the government for gratuity and based on your complaint the labour commissioner will decide whether you are eligible for gratuity or not.the earlier judgements can be cited as a case law in minimum service for eligibility for gratutity
