Hi,
I unfortunately met up with an accident when a lady crossing the pedastrian crossing rushed in quick and happend to hit the car on its side and dashed to the front glass. She fell down and has minor head injuries and her co-worker has filed a complaint. The traffic and the SI of the Police station has said that it is the lady who has done the mistake by dashing with the running car.All my documents are perfect and have received the Motor Inspection Report from the RTO and have submitted the vehicle for claiming the insurance. I would like to know now about the case that is under section 337. What will be seriousness of this and how am I going to be impacted with this. Any advice will be o great help.
Thanks

u have to defend against charges of rash and negligent driving. Will take 2-3 years for trial. Panchnama, map of accident site, Witnesses are imp factors. If injury is grievous hurt, it will be taken seriously, otherwise Police may not take trouble to investigate in detail [was she in hospital for 12 days ?]any fracture ?

Hello Mr. Shroff,
Thanks for replying back to me on this. The police is not so serious about this case as it does not require more of investigation as this happened on the GST Road Chennai, and moreover these is no serious injury and no fracture at all. All that the police person has said as there will be a court fine. But I would like to ensure that there would be no other issues involved with it.

From the facts mentioned above there seems not much seriousness, provided you are defended by an expert lawyer, and your defense is effectively presented before the court.

Is it really necessary that I have to hire a lawyer for this as I was not being told about this by anyone neither did the inspector handling this case mention anything. Anyways thanks for the info as I can have this checked with the officials upfront.
Thanks
