Registration of society

Respected Experts,
One of known one wants to get register a society consisting of members of an industrial allotment scheme for the purpose of maintenance of that particular Industrial area. He is also one of the allotees.
Please guide that will this society be registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 or under some other Act. Please elaborate.

Every state has its own co-operative societies act. Consult a local lawyer with details.

Agreed with expert. You may contact the office of Registrar of Co-operative Societies for getting the formalities completed. Assistance of Lawyer would be better.
