Procedure for contested divorce

(Querist) 10 September 2013 This query is : Resolved
my husband recently suffered huge losses and started residing at his girl freinds house (not confirmed or guranteed but strongly doubt) leaving us stranded ,,,,,,, i am leaving all alone from past 11 months with my two kids at my house or my mothers house ...he some times interacts over phone and does not come to my house....... i do not want to divorce him which he plans too as he has sent few SMS and calls asking for divorce....just want to know by staying away or not coming home for 11 months or more , is he strenghtening his chance if he files for a contested divorce ????
i do not want to give divorce as he cannot leave us just like that and walk away .... children are growing and i am a house wife ...in last 11 months he has not given any financial help to me or my kids ....

advise how can i stop him from divorcing me and going scot free

With your close family and friend circle to advise, counseling him for re union with you. if it failed then consult the local lawyer and send the legal notice for restitution of conjugal right .

Try for settlement through relatives, family friends, effective people from society for reunion and to make him understand his liability. Meanwhile You should also try to get some job which may be done from home or otherwise. This will bring you moral strength in you for facing the situation.

If the efforts does not prove fruitful, wait till he takes some steps. Gather proofs for his bigamy or adultery and may proceed if circumstances warrant.
