Regard to divorce

A friend of mine is married for the last 26 years and have two children. He and his wife are not in good relationship. He had no physical relationship with his wife now for 7 years and she is not ready to have physical relationship with him.
He has tried to compromise with her, but of no use.And being mentally harassed also.
Now he wants to go for a divorce.
Since they are not living separate how to go for a divorce? What is the procedure?

Best option is Mutual Consent Divorce,date of separation may be put in the petition mutually agreed upon.

If she is not ready for mutual consent divorce, then go for divorce on non-cohabitation, desertion and cruelty grounds. But before that see what is that worrying the long and cherished married life because by 26 years of married life, the children would have grown up to a matured level, will it not be embarrassing for the children as well especially during their ensuing marriage and career development activities?, Sit and think about the problems that prevail upon the recent misunderstandings, see if there are any chances for reconciliation and for saving the marriage, or allow the matter to remain in the same stage atleast for the sake of the grown up children, the world is not only for material benefits, sentimental values also play a pivotal role in the lives of people, hence reconsider.
