Dear sir/madam
I am resident of Delhi & my contested divorce case is being dragged in Moradabad court for various small reasons, like judge absent, lawyers' strike, etc. My query:

a) Can the case be brought to Delhi?
b) Wife is absent for last 3 hearings. Can she be penalised?
Kindly advise.

Transfer is difficult. Rather apply in the high court for expeditious hearing of the suit.

These are the delay tactics adopted to drag the case to harass other party who is living outside. Take help of your lawyer to try for early decision and prey to proceed ex-party / dismiss, if other party is not coming.
