sir plz help..my friend has been booked in a 498a and 34 case.which is totally a false one..the complainant has included my name though i stay 200 km from the case booked place..he is not my close friend..i have not seen that girl in last 4 yrs..4 other friends have also been booked..all have been granted bail.. 1) what should be my course of action..2) till what duration i can provide surity for bail..10 days ..15 days or what is maximum limit duration to provide surity..plz guide other course of action.. regards

Are an relative of the accused persons. if not then you can file quashing.
In any case first get bail and then adopt suitable next course of action.

Surety is till you are on bail i.e. till the decision of the case against you.

Thanks sir..I wil put second query this..after court granted bail , they have asked to provide surity.I yet have to provide surity for bail..is there any time frame to provide surity. .like within 10 15 or 20 days or no time limit.regards

You would have been let known in the bail order itself about the time limit within which you are to surrender before the lower court and get enlarged on regular bail by producing the sureties of the sum so mentioned in it. Please go through the conditions in the bail order.
