In connection with my case, I have to produce documentary evidence. But What is available is too old and mutilated document. It is also too brittle to handle. Kindly advise what can be done to submit in court.

It is to be filed in that condition only. However you can seek leave of court to put in a metal/tin box to preserve it for future.

There is no legal hurdle to produce such document in evidence. The supporting evidence can also be produced with such document.

With the permission of court, get the document laminated, if can be done without any harm to the document, or paste the original document on a fresh paper and submit the same to avoid destruction due to its brittleness.
Further, if the the contents are not properly legible, submit transliterated copy also along with the original document in support and clarity of the documentary evidence.
