Dear all,
I have a Prostitution case against me where in I had hired a lady for a day and was caught in a police raid around 6 to 7 years before and was released on bail and I was A5. After that I left to abroad for work and till now case is not solved as other members are not attending the case regularly but my lawyer is always taking a new dates and says not to worry. Can some body please advice on this as I still in abroad and my family is really scared.

Thank you for the replay and my bad luck is that today a Arrest warrant is been issued against and I am outside India will there be a problem if come to India to attend this case on Monday ( 04.05.2014 ).

you need not consult legal advise to know what will happen when you are in India if a warrant is pending against you and.

It must be production warrant.
Once you come back India, apply for bail. It will be granted.

You have stated that you are already on bail, it meas now you have jumped the bail hence a warrant has been issued against you. Now the question is you said that your advocate has been taking care of your case in your absence, why did he leave it now allowing a warrant to be issued against you, are you not retaining him?, Now on arrival, you should once again get yourself enlarged on bail and recall the warrant pending against you. Contact your advocate and surrender yourself in the court after your arrival in India and go for the other formalities after that.

Thank you all what a wonderful forum is this.....!!!!! and just an update on the captioned subject is that my lawyer has told me no need to come to India and he will recall the case and every thing should be ok. I shall attend the case in the next announced date by the courts.
the biggest problem is that my lawyer has never asked me for any money and I always tell him that to tell me what is fees are to close the case as its very minor one
can some one tell what to do next as I am bit confused....?

inspect the judicial file through another lawyer and get correct information, it will be better

I agree with Mr.Nadeem Qureshi's opinion that better you contact some other reliable advocate and get the correct details/status of the case and also his opinion so that you are not taken for a ride.

No Warrant can be recalled with the presence of the accused person.
It is beyond any comprehension as to how could your lawyer do this when it is not permissible from any four corners of law.
