Rent receipt

Dear sir,

I am staying in rented house since last 35 years in mumbai.
My rent receipt is on my name. Now I want to insert my daughter name as second name in rent receipt.Can it possible. There is no other legal heir.

Kindly advise me.

You can include your daughter name if the landlord agree,otherwise you can not include your daughter as joint tenant.

you approach landlord for adding your daughter name in rent receipt . unless your landlord agrees it cannot be done .mere executing affidavit wont suffice . landlord will demand his pound of flesh to add your daughter name

The tenancy is inheritable.

The tenancy is no doubt inheritable but not now. This can happen in the event of death of tenant, for the present landlord's const to be obtained to include additional tenant name in the rental receipt.
