Co-ownership / joint ownership in a property (resi.plot)

I have a piece of residential plot in Chennai in my name as the sole owner. I have constructed a house on this plot which is also in my sole name. I want to make my wife as a joint owner/co-owner of this property (plot + house).What is the procedure.Kindly advise.

Executing a " Settlement Deed " in your wife's name the 50% of the Property both land and building would make her the Joint Owner and Settlement Deed is Less Expensive than other type of documents .For Settlement deed in Chennai Rs.25000/ would be the stamp fee and Rs 5000 would be the Registration fee irrespective of the property value
