Dear Sir, The member has filled and registered the nomination form in favour of his wife. The member died couple of years back. Society wants to endorse the share certificate in favour of his wife. Is it necessary to mention (Nominee) against the name while endorsing the share certificate behind. Thanks

Transfer of share certificate in the name of the nominee is distinct from inheritance of property by all the legal heirs.

Yes, the share can be transferred in the name of "nominee" widow on the basis of nomination registered in Society records.
