Seven Cheques of one party deposited with the bank for realisation all the cheques were bounced on the same date. Does the notice is required to be served within 30 days for every cheque saparately?

It is your option either to serve seven notices separately for dishonour of seven cheques or you may serve a single notice for dishonour of all the seven cheques.

Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, S.138 - 138 NI Act - 30 cheques - One notice issued - 10 complaints limiting three cheques per each complaint filed - Cheques issued under various invoices - Held, each transaction under each invoice being separate, issue of cheque in discharge of the debt under the said invoice constitute a separate offence - nothing illegal in having filed ten different complaints.
