As any sole proprietorship firm cannot be registered, this rule applies to law firm also. (OPC - One person Company Act is expected and long awaited). A sole proprietory law firm's requirement is that it should be established by an Advocate on the rolls of a State Bar Council

under the present scenario of Indian statutes, the same can not be termed as a "firm". it shall be an association of advocates/ lawyers. no separate registration is necessary. start working.
if you wish to et it registered as a firm, include any other advocate/lawyer as a pertner and get it registered with th registrar of firms.
