(Querist) 22 August 2013 This query is : Resolved
Does any individual has a sole right to donate ancestral property which is undivided still (just in understanding).Do the Great Grand children have any right in such property which is Ancestral or any NOC is required for donation of property.
Anirudh (Expert) 23 August 2013
If it is truly an ANCESTRAL PROPERTY then no individual has any right to dispose it of by giving away as GIFT/DONATION.
Rahhul Pokarna (Querist) 23 August 2013
It is Ancestral property & undivided on paper. the person having no legitimate child of his own has made a gift deed on his name & transferred on to his wife's name & then donated it to a temple. Isn't it mandatory to take a NOC from the other people of the family.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 24 August 2013
No. Such property cannot be donated by a single individual.
