Registration : In India, the registration of Wills is not compulsory even if it relates to immovable property. The non-registration of a Will does not lead to any inference against the genuineness of a Will. In other words, registration therefore does not give any special sanctity to the Will though registration of the Will by the testator himself evidences the genuineness of the Will.Registration charges is minimum.
Stamp Duty : No stamp duty is required to be paid for executing a Will or a codicil. A Will, therefore, need not be made on stamp paper.

Dear Author : Stock Market Guru?
A will unnotarized or notarized or registered or unregistered stands on equal footing once the real one gets proved before the court;yet comparatively one registered is better than notarized and notarized is better than ordinary but it is true that a will can be changed on death bed.Hence question asked is relevant till real and last one gets proved!

Mr. Ajay Sethi, do you recommend Mr. Prakash Singh's cause for tips in return to his reply (just for humour sake). Well, Mr. Bhadra and Mr. Singh have properly advised/suggested on the subject. The Will is proper even written in a plain paper and is not registered/notarized, provided it is genuine and not a fake one.
