Moving my car to another state for 6 months

Hello All,

I've a recently bought an Hyundi i10 in August from Jaipur(Rajasthan) and now in December, I've to move to Ahmedabad(Gujarat) for next 6 to 8 months. I'm not too sure what I need to do for this to ensure a trouble free drive with my vehicle in Gujarat. Do I need to re-register my vehicle in Gujarat. If not, then what are the things which I need to follow to avoid any trouble.

YES! You do need to re-register your vehicle in Gujarat.

And the procedure is quite cumbersome and archaic.

If your stay in Gujrat is temporary no need to take such trouble. There are many persons who have highly transferable job and do not change their registration.
