rights of divorced women in higher education

dear sir,

1. i am a divorced woman and presently pursuing my Phd. i am without any maintenance which has been mutually agreed between both parties..

2. am i entitled to any fees and age relaxation while pursuing higher studies in any central or state government institution?

3. if any , how much is the relaxation in age & fees?

4. if i remarry, wud i get any relaxation atleast in age?

5.are there any other rights?

No, though you can still claim for maintenance from your divorced husband if you are not remarried as yet.

Only for destitude widows some states offer monetary support and employment relaxation. You can try through an application to District Collector for grant through CM's Welfare Fund on humanitarian grounds.

Since you are doing Ph.D., you can also take-up this cause as a social service by escalating this issue to Women Organizations so that illiterate women also get some sort of concession/monetary support.

Only the widows are eligible for relaxations .
