Respected experts, please let me know the list of the Acts relating to apartments ownership in Karnataka.
We come across problems relating to allotment of parking space, non refund of booking amount, registration of apartment owner's association etc, and I want to know the Acts which are related to them.

Dear Suchitra,
Problems relating to allotement of parking space and non refund of booking amount are governed under The Karnataka Apartment Ownerhisp Act, 1972.
You can approch the consumer forum/ file a money recorvery suit and other remedies are also available for you.
If you want to form a Appartment owner's Association you should gothorugh the Society Registration Act, 1860 and that association should be registered at Society Registrar.
The office of Registrar of Societys establieshed all over karnataka and every district has a one Socierty registrar office.

Thanks for the responses. I have found now another Act, THE KARNATAKA OWNERSHIP FLATS (REGULATION OF THE PROMOTION OF CONSTRUCTION, SALE, MANAGEMENT AND TRANSFER) ACT, 1972.
