Poa to be registered ?

(Querist) 21 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

I am giving one warehouse owned by me to one company on leave and licence basis. We will be getting the L&L agreement duly stamped and registered with Sub-registrar. However, I will not be able to be present before the sub-registrar during the registration process. So I am giving a POA to undertake all registration and related activities in the name of my brother. Is it necessary to register such POA? If yes can you please provide me the reference of your views.

I humbly disagree with Ajay. Registered POA is also necessary for registration of leave and license agreement.

Leave and licence agreement is compulsory registerable document under the sec 17 of Registration Act and for the purpose to get the registered a document which is required to be compulsorily rgistered under the provisions of Registration Act,the Power of Attorney must be registered by Sub Registrar.
