Dear Sir
I am a resident of City A and my native place is Village B, recently i required a OBC certificate and Authority at City
A refused to issue it to me saying that we do not have any information about your caste so we cannot issue you a caste
certificate, so i moved to Village B, when i reached to Tehsildar office at village they said that i do not posses
voters identity card for village B i cannot be issued a caste certificate but at the same time my fore-fathers have been
living in the village since more than 60 years ago and we also have land records related to it, so to get OBC
Certificate i got the caste details and residing details of my forefathers residing in village from sarpanch of village and produced it in Tehsildar office for caste certificate, finally after lot of nagging i was issued a caste certificate.Now the problem starts that i have applied for a Central Government Job and mentioned my address for communication as City A and permanent Address as my village address City B:
My questions are:
i) Is there any form of canvassing/malpractice by using the procedure i used to acquiring caste certificate?
ii) Verification of caste certificate is done prior to appointment on probation/regularized or after probation/regularized?
iii) Verification of permanent address and communication address is carried by whom in communication address and permanent address

decision of tehsil office is apparently correct. A caste certificate is issued to an ordinary resident within the meaning of Representation of People Act. So if one is not registered as a voter in a particular village he is not ordinary resident.

Dear Sudhir Kumar
I agree to your Representation of People Act but can you tell me why didn't the City A issue me a caste certificate that also comes under the same purview and is applicable to me, can you suggest some ammedment copies to that i can produce it to the Tehsil office not issuing me certificate in city A, My forefathers stayed in village B before 1960 to 2010 till my grandmother the last person expired and i am also staying in City A more than 20 years
