Can i file a complaint u/s 504 and 506 of ipc u/s 200 of cr.p.c. in the court?

Sir, I had made a complaint against respondent in a police station a year ago about the mis-appropriation of public fund. I waited for 15 days for the action from the police authority. Since no action had been taken by the police i held a Press conference.The news of corruptions of the respondent was published in many daily Newspapers.To intimidate me the respondent had sent a legal notice through his lawyer warning me that if I would not tender apology in writing and also to get the same published in local dailies and compensate him by making a payment of Rs. 5,00,000 within 15 days of reciept of this notice he would take appropriate legal action against me.
Even after one year of recieving the notice i've yet not replied to it.
Now can i file the complaint against the respondent for criminal intimidation u/s 504 and 506 of IPC and u/s 200 of Cr.P.C. in JMFC?

Yes you can file case u/s 200 cr.p.c. And there is no bar if you recently received any threatening, intimatimidation or abuse from them.

If the facts of the case do attract such sections then you can definitely file as per procedure.
