DEAR EXPERT,

THE COMPLAINT IS FILED UNDER SECTION 66 OF I.T ACT. THE ACCUSED ARE MINOR UNDER AGE OF 18 YRS. COMPLAINT FILED ON THE GROUND FOR CREATING AND USING THE FAKE I.D ON SOCIAL NETWORKING WEBSITE.

THESE ACCUSED ARE CHILDREN.SO KINDLY LET ME KNOW WHAT WOULD BE THE PUNISHMENT FOR MINOR IN THIS TYPE OF CASE.

minor cannot be proceeded with by any except on the authorized guardian per indian contract act, Income tax is bound under that substantial law, after all income tax act is some revenue act amenable to substantive law pl

If this is the first offence, the court may pardon him as first mistake. If this is not the first offence, the court will send him to Juvenile Home. The punishment may be one or two months.

This seem to be section 66 of Information Technology Act and not Income ax Act.

If offense proved, court take care the age of the accused.
