Hello
I am a volunteer for a non-profit organization that works to spread holistic health awareness and ecologically sustainable, compassionate lifestyles. It involves organic farming and sheltering animals at one end and reversing diabetes with a change in life style at the other end.
We wish to buy agricultural land in Maharashtra for the purpose of organic farming, sheltering animals and running the holistic healing centre.
Can an NGO of such mission buy agricultural land in Maharashtra?

Such NGO is required t first obtain an agriculturist status by purchasing any land in States like Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, MP etc. so that it may do as desired.

Only one having agricultural land in any of the states in India ,can buy agricultural land in Maharashtra.
In many of the other states no such bar exists,such as in UP,NO SUCH BAR.Then buy in UP first,get mutation done and on strength of the extracts buy in Maharashtra.
