Fixing of box grills

Dear Experts, in our society we people do not have roof on windows (one side is open from roof to floor, having straight fitting grills, in line with walls) which can shed from rainy water. in monsoon, experiencing water in house is a common problem for us. we have to tie plastics cover to avoid it. now, we people need to provide a roof to our windows. for this we have to make box grill fitted to our windows (which will go out from wall approx 1ft). We need to know can we fix box grill to windows?

Sorry, i asked the question wrongly, i need to know is there any problem from BMC in case we take out box grill by 1ft.
