canal land matter

Dear Experts ,here is one problem arised between my friend and his sister-in-law land ,it is took over by state govt under canal construction for public use, and zegeette was passed ,here is question the said land was surplus land shown in cealing both are joint pattedars , my friends sister-in -law was now claiming for entire share ,kindly give me suzesstion ,thanking you sir,

Dear Anonymous,
Mere entry in the revenue record does not make any body as its absolute owner. You have not mentioned how your friend and his sister in law have derived title and interest in the land.

Respected sir ,thanks ,my friends sister-in-law and my friends mother both are joint pattedars & the same has been inherited by ancestral property,
