but lease holder has filed a suite agst land lord that you can not evict us on protected tenant catagory, and court has pass a intreim order to disburse and dispose the lease holder by process of law and maitain status-que position, under this circumstances can we go for redevelopment of building as the position of building is worsen day by day ? if yes please guidE, because some person having vested interest is heading for redevelopment, and what is our legal status as tennat or sub tennamt ?

since when have you been staying as tenant? do you have ration card etc in your name?
what were terms and conditions of lease?
you cannot go in for redevlopment at present as there is dispute between lessor and lesee .

Status quo order is already in operation so there is no question of redevelopment as soon as order of court is in existence. I advise you tenants to become a party to the referred suit pending between lessor and lessee and put your case therein so that your status may be decided and redevelopment may also be made as desired.

a STATUS QUO means let the things be as they are;and that is the order in force, avoiding the same no redevelopment can go .the suit going on is between the land lord and lessee where none of you are party so first you all move an application for impleadment as party then when impleaded move an application seeking modification of the status quo order by seeking permission to go far redevelopment
on the ground of urgency of condition of the building and hardships being faced by you all.
