Is it possible for a citizen, to keep inform the Government/respective department
against who knows some one with respect to
a) concealment of income
b) tax evaders
c) who bribes/and involve in bribery
i) What is the formal procedure...?
and
ii) How there shall be security or confidentiality on revealing such information
iii) How there shall be protection on safety for the person who is giving lead/information
We do find CBI is active in all departments including Income Tax

C). Yes.
1). Make simple application with complete details and try to annex relevant documents, if possible and within control.
ii). Generally department makes such information very confidential.
CBI shall not intervene initially without recommendation of State or court.

if you feel anyone has taken bribe you can complain to anti corruption beurau .
similarly for income tax evasion you can lodge information with vigilance department
information is kept secret and you are also rewarded .
you can also lodge complaint with CBDT member investigation

I wud be happy if the experts could send a format for lodging an information to vigilance department particularly wrt income tax..
a) Do I need to share the information as how do I know on the tax evasion (they should not think that it is annonymous)
b) How do I disclose myself as a complainant to the department
c) What security that I have, from the dept.
d) How do I know that action has been taken..
I am getting ready to lodge a complaint to vigilance; and saving INDIA..

In every Government department one Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) is appointed on approval from the Central Vigilance Commission, who is normally from an organisation outside of the department and is stationed at the HQ of the organisation. You may therefore contact the CVO and give definite information with proof. He will then cause investigation in the matter for taking necessary penal action against the official concerned without bringing in your name and particulars.
