Land purchased by son on his mothers name

(Querist) 12 June 2012 This query is : Resolved
My grandmother was takencare by my father in financial aspect even while was in abroad during 1970’s. During his tenure in overseas, he bought a piece of land in India on her mother’s name. My father and grandmother are passed away long back. Now my father’s brothers are planning to sell the land which was in the name of my grandmother and my father’s money. My father kept the overseas money transaction receipts and original land documents and its with me now. Is it possible for me to take a stay order from court for not to sell the property? And is there any provision for me to avail the property as whole? Kindly advice please.

You can ask for your share only. Which you would have got being the legal heir of your father.
