is it reserved for public purpose or are there any restrictions on sale of property . only local lawyer can advise you

Your land has been got acquired for Pawna Dam in Pune District of Maharashtra so you should immediately make contact with the revenue authorities and should collect the compensation under protest and then should challenge the award before District Judge.

You cannot sale the aforesaid land.

can i do any construction on it for my use only??
ajay sethi (Expert) 10 December 2012
you cnanot carry out any construction as it form s part of pavna project . you will only get compensation if land is acquired for public purpose

You may try it before High court if no proper procedure has been followed by State in acquisition like pronouncement of award etc. Recently such land has been rescued in UP in many matters.

If the land is included in the project site there must be some notification to acquire land. There would also have been some fixed date for lodging of objection, if you have any. But, if the date has already expired, you can do nothing. So, better check about the notification and see if you can do anything as per the notification. Any construction without getting your land properly secured would be a sheer waste of money.

You are advised to collect the entire documents relating to your ownership and the proceeding of acquisition and show them to a lawyer dealing in civil side and only then decide your future course of action.
