Delhi Bar Council has made rules 28(2) (C ) of Advocates Act-1961 and
Rule 104 of the says that every person applying to be admitted as Advocate has to make declaration that he is not engaged in full or part time employment , trade or service and if he is enages as full time or part time employment has to give details of his employment, trade and business and has to undertake that after his admission as advocate if he engaged as full time or par time service he should cease to practice as advocate
If Advocate ceased to practice after engaging in trade/business whether he can act as advocate on the behalf of family members as there is consideration of money in it? Or he even lost the right of contesting even on the behalf of family members?
If so its unfair of the advocates because even doctor who do other still reserves the right to treating the patients why not advocates?
If the condition of taking full/part time employment applies why bar council allowed the part time faculty members and law officers allow to continue their enrolments?
Whether other states do follow the same rules like Delhi Council..

Dear Student,
Who will teach Law if Advocates not allowed to teach??
& Adv Act cannot be changed by us. It is Law,
We don't have to change it, we have to administer, practice it as it is. it is all over India. OK
Otherwise ur is Academic Query..

The same rules are applicable now in almost all States. If you have objection to the amendment, do challenge it before high court.
