Hello sir,
i am one of the officer in prison. I have dilemma regarding remand warrant and body warrant. if court issued a remand warrant to jail authority to detain the any accused we has to admit that person in jail.if same accused wanted in some other trail court what can be done by trail court?usually trail court issue the body warrant/P T warrant for production before the trail court.
The problem is if remand warrant expired/recalled/acquitted we have to release that accused. if any body warrant/PT warrant issued that same accused what we have to do? some citation said that the ''P.T.Warrant cannot be construed to be an authorization to detain the person in jail beyond the period of remand or beyond the date of expiry of the sentence of imprisonment''. my concern is if any accused remand in minor offence and after admission body warrant may be issued major offence in this situation that mean if remand warrant expired what we have to do?
can we approach the court to issue the remand warrant or neglect the major offence?
if any citation is available please provide the same.
with regards.

Generally under-trial is released on the basis of proper PT Warrant.
