education loan, how to get documents back?

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 10 September 2013 This query is : Resolved
Sir

I'm an intern at a govt bank. After 3 months of internship I'll become a full time banker. 9 months back, I had taken an education loan of 3.5 lakhs to join the course conducted by this bank which would enable me to become a banker in this bank. The course included coaching plus accommodation for full 9 months. At the time of admission to this course, all my documents were seized by the Bank and I had signed many papers stating that I cannot leave the bank before repayment of all my debts or before 5 years of service. Now I wish to leave this bank and start working in private sector. I don't have the money to pay the debt right now and I want my docs back. How can i get my docs back? Can anything be done? Please help.

Pay the loan somehow and get back the documents. Bank will never give them back until their dues are met or required service is put in.
And you have also signed the papers....

Information furnished is less than factual. It is inconceivable has any such system in appointing 'bankers' or would ever have such systems in recruiting 'bankers'.

Your anonymity should be the first reason to refuse you answer.
Secondly promoting dishonesty is not the object here.
Thirdly bank has funded you and advanced you
loan so either choose to serve them as per agreement or pay their loan.

There is no 4th choice.

P.Venu, kindly elaborate.
This is actually a system to recruit bankers and keep them. It's like a trap. Once you're in, you can't come out before spending years there.

If a trap, you can spread this message to the concerned community through the concerned channels.
