Cheater hr not giving relieving letter

I was working with a private comp for around 2 years,which is having 3 month notice period.i resigned on 31 may 2013,after 1 month on 1 july HR called me told me they r not havn projects so i can leave the company with mutual understanding but my manager said he need me in project for a week i said ok, during that period i got health issues so i took leaves then on 10 july 2013 he called me he took all official properties from me n given me resignation acceptance letter n told me that he will send me my relieving letter after 15 days just i need to give him my medical reports.After 15 days he mailed me that i have to pay 1 month 20 days salary to him then only he will give me my relieving letter and from company side my performance bonus is also pending which they have to give me with march salary but he is saying we will not give u any bonus u hav to giv us money. What should I do. Someone Please help me out.

3 months notice is provided in appointment letter . you have not served the 3 months notice period . admittedly you worked only for one month after your resignation was submitted . since you have not worked for 3 months company is justified in demanding shortfall period salary

But I was ready to work they only told me to leave as there company is in lose and they are not having any projects.

do you have any such letter that as company does not have projects you were asked not to serve the notice period . in any case in reply to demand for payment mention the aforesaid facts

In the given facts, Company is justified in demanding balance pay as per notice period agreement. Better consult with all relative documents to some labor law advocate.
