Requirement of esic/pr deduction

Dear Sir,
Any petty subcontractor who is having less than 10 staff is necessary to comply the esic/PF contribution for their service done in any labour related activities in any organization.

If the labors are in the mustered roll, he may have to comply with the requirements of PF/ESI, if numbers are 10 are more.

It is a welfare legislation and contractor complies with on behalf of principal employer and all liabilities to Principal Employer only. Hence if you employ more than 10 employees irrespective of whether it is at one establishment or not you may cover for ESIC.
