Dear Sir,
I need your advice. I am staying b.i.t chawl which is under bmc with my mother's aunt (my mothers father's cousin sister). My mothers aunt is staying in this house from the british era when the building was constructed in 1800. She died and left a will which is not notarised but witnessed by two individuals in my name. I had submitted my papers for transfer of rent receipt in my name. BMC is asking me to prove my relationship with her? how do i do so? I have already given in writing but still asking me to proof the same. Since i am staying in the same house since birth is there any provision in the law for me to take the transfter of property in my name, which is in bmc rule book. Secondly the rent receipt was on her christian name and now in the format i.e name, father's name and surname. How do i prove she is the same person. I have her voter's card, ration card and senior citizen card in the name father's name and surname format. What are the fees bmc charge for transfers. Please advice.

tenancy rights cannot be bequeathed by will
. file an affidavit regarding your relation ship . fact that you stayed with her since you were a child .
you must be having documentary evidence of that address like ration card etc.
regarding fees charged by BMC for transfer only BMC can guide you .

Consult a local lawyer and show him all the documents.
