There is dispute in property between my Dad and his Uncle for great grandfathers property. It was originally under HUF. My dad's uncle has changed part of the land in his name using dubious means in 1996 (18 years ago). Can we challenge this the court? Does it require us to pay 25 % of land fee as deposit to challenge this the court. If so this is too big of money for us to arrange. Does that mean we have no option available to us? What should we do?

Sorry I don't understand what alienation means. Let me provide further info. The land was HUF in my great grandfathers name. My dad's uncle added his name as partner in the property and converted it into title deed by dubious means in 1996.

If it was HUF property, as a coparcener, your father is also entitled to a share in it. What is the present status of the title of he property?, there is no such thing called deposit of 25% value with the court. Please furnish more details for a proper opinion.
