you have to defend case on merits . in your statement to police you should mention that period during which loan was sanctioned you were on sanctioned leave with no access to computer

better Consult a Local Good Advocate with all Evidences of your statements Here and be Defended Legally.

Your absence is a good defence. However, how far it is sufficient to get a discharge without a trial depends on the facts and circumstances.

Bring all the evidences before the Police. if you are innocent then nothing to worry.

Dear Mr. Krishna Nayaka,
I have some different opinion. If your password was used during your leave, opening of a loan account with your own password that too during your leave period may totally go against you, as you can be blamed either yourself has opened the account unauthorisedly or would have compromised with your password by sharing that with some unauthorised person.
So, you need to be careful to secretively get appropriate information to be used as evidence in your favour.
Since the issue can prove to be of sensitive nature, any clue given in the open forum may tend to raise an alert for your opponents. So, I have given some clue through PM to work on those lines to get hold of the appropriate information to help you.
You therefore like to go through that PM in your PM Box, if that can help you.

It seems that the password was shared by you, and if so you know the person who opened the account. If so, cooperate with the police inquiry and get the culprit punished. if any case registered against you, proceed for anticipatory bail and defend on merits.

I fully agree with Mr. P S Dhingra.
To add to it, I would like to state that how can you skip over your responsiblity in the given circumstances, when the account was inaccessible for any one else without knowing and using your password?
There is some vital information which you have not disclosed before the experts.

The facts given by you are not at all enough to any advice. You are on leave. Somebody opened the loan account using your pass word. Whether he has created fictitious account? Or a loan duly sanctioned by competent authority? Whether funds have been swindled from this account? You are a Manager. Have you not verified what are the new accounts opened during your absence? If you are not alert, at least on monthly basis you are required to report to higher authorities with the data of opening of loan accounts. Why police interference has come into the picture? Simply by posting two lines, and asking the experts to give you advice will not help you at all. Come with full facts. I am a retired Banker and I can help you to the extent possible if your problem is genuine.

Even if your password for sanctioning the loan was reportedly misused by somebody during your sanctioned leave, without the good morning password being operated on that day your other main password will not be operated on that date so how are you going to defend that issue, have you shared even that password with that untrustworthy individual that day?
