Adoption by a christian in india

Friends,

Please let me know whether a christian can adopt a child legally? Please, specify the case law especially of the Supreme Court of India or AP High Court.

Now any one can adopt in India.Religion does not come as bar.

A non Hindu should choose the route laid under the secular Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
