Quashing of case

Respected lawyers,
I am a second aquist in a case where ipc 308 is charged by police. Now it is over 3 years but it is not called for trials yet. I m aged 26;now I m shortlisted in 2_3 govt jobs. But the problem is: if the case stands will I get a govt job. I think it will definitely ruin my future. One of my friend told me the last day highcourts can quash cases. Is it applicable in my case as 308 ipc is non compoundable.? If its applicable should I get an no objection from the petetioner?

Why would the petitioner give no objection?Best possible solution is to go for a compromise and settle the matter as 3 yrs have elapsed.Quash is a remote possibility.
