See Land records there are many errors. Only because Land record state the title of that land becomes of that person is false belief everyone have.

If proper procedure not adopted or lot fraud whole land record of that survey can be also quashed , like order passing from appellate authority to remove all names etc.

If your uncle adopts proper steps then his name can be inserted in Land record .

If name on Sale Deed which is signed and that of land record is different then Land record can be changed by appeallate authority .

(This thing I tell from Maharashtra experience of Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. If different state then you need to go deep in your state law)

Yes, he can claim his share in the land as it would not be difficult to prove that both the persons are same and identical.
Do not try to grab the property of uncle only because his pet name was used.
That would be unethical and not justified in law as well.

What does the deed of conveyance reveal? Who had paid the consideration? What do you mean by "property paper"?

your uncle has share in the property, have amicable family settlement.

property paper means "doc of registry" , consideration was paid in cash by my father.
