IN A CASE (U/S 66-A OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT) THE JUDGMENT WAS GIVEN ON 20.2.2016. THE ACCUSED WAS ACQUITTED BEYOND ALL DOUBTS.

WHAT IS THE TIME LIMIT BEFORE WHICH THE CRIMINAL DEFAMATION HAS TO BE FILED ?

Acquittal in a criminal case is not the ground for a defamation proceedings. So also, was the acquittal on merits?

yes. the acquittal is on merits.

acquitted beyond all doubts and absolutely no evidence against the accused in the case.
