How to obtain pedhinamu in mumbai, need to get this because of add heir names in 7/12.

Actually the matter is the persons having their land in kalol,Gandhinagar(Gujarat) but they are living in Mumbai since long about 40-50 years and I asked Talati from Kalol, Gandhinagar(Gujarat) to get their pedhinamu but he said that we will need pedhinamu from where the persons are living if they are living in Mumbai then we require the pedhinamu from Mumbai Land revenue office only.
So please let me know now how to get that pedhinamu in Mumbai and what is the procedure and document needs in that?
how much time it will take to get this?

Please specify the particular area in mumbai since it cover two municipal corporation.

Pedhinamu is family tree issued by Talathi, It is Gujarati word.
As per my knowledge it is not issued in Maharashtra.
Instead we apply in case of problem heirship certificate under Bombay regulation 8 of 1827
But here again there is issue CPC state suit should be instituted at place where property is situated so getting heir ship certificate jurisdiction issue will arise
Better ask Gujarati adv. Who is in Mumbai , so he may guide you

I am agree with Madhu Ji that applicant has to apply for the same.

As per Madhu Ji said , it is true. Basically it is called Legal heirship certificate and we have to apply for the same in Maharashtra State Govt., our applicant is living near Kings Circle, Matunga so may be it is F N ward.
As I am not much sure about areaa wise information. Also find out online on Mumbai Govt.Land revenue information that this certificate only issues to Govt. Employees not to others. this is also problem for us. another thing in Gujarat state Govt. the same certificate is issuing within 15 days time to anyone who lving in Gujarat. So do not understand why there are difference in Land Laws in two states? also now how I can explain the same to Tehsildar in Kalol, Gujarat.Because he says we need the same certificate from Mumbai only.
Please help me with the said issue for Legal Heirship certificate from Mumbai.

State Government enacts the law relating to land / property. This is main reason of difference.
You can move to court against tehsildar decision (lengthy procedure), approach commissioner or can move as required by the tehsildar to proceed / get your work done.

1) Land Revenue comes under state subject in Constitution of India hence every state has its own land revenue code
2) Question is not of only heirship certificate . While applying for heir ship certificate you need to specify Property . And on Property price you need to pay Court fee. And this is indeed hurdle .
3) Last few months I came across 3-4 cases from Karnataka and Gujarat that land record dept in respective state is asking for heir ship certificate and they are living in Mumbai for 30-40 years
4)In that case how to move myself don't have correct ans. because that state law I have not studied , means if there is any loop hole there that too I don't know
5) Information that Thesil legal heir ship certificate is issued for only Govt officer for pension in Maharashtra is correct as per my old information.
6) Under circumstances legally in Mahrashtra you are left with only option of Bombay Regulation VIII 1827 no other law
