For multistorey Apartments in Chennai with varying areas of flats, ( from 1500- 3500 sq ft)monthly maintenance charges are being collected on area ( sq ft) basis. Can Association collect uniform charges ? Similarly for capital expenditures and renovation and repairing expenses can it be collected on uniform rate basis ? Can it be collected on uniform rate basis even when monthly maintenance charges are collected on area ( sq ft) basis... If collected on uniform basis will it not be unfair to owners occupying lower areas.

These decisions are to be taken by the board members in the general meeting and if you have any objection to the same, you can raise such objection in writing before the board committee.
