I got Divorce in the year 2006 and legal Custody of my son, i got married on 2009 now i want to change the father's name for my son. What is the legal procedure. Can any one give legal advice on this

If your previous husband is agree, only then with his involvement, your new husband can adopt your son then only his name can be changed otherwise there is no scope for that.
The son is only in your custody and his father has not given his paternity in your favour. custody mean to maintain him and not to change his even father name.

you get an affifavit drafted from any typist and get it notarized.you publish the new name of your son in 2 local daily news papers by giving the copy of affidavit.then you apply for the new name of your son to be published in gazette by giving the copies of newspaper cutting and affidavit
