Common Challan for depositing EPF and ESI contribution

Hi All,

I learnt that henceforth there will be a common challan for depositing employers contribution both in respect of EPF and ESI but alongside even came across some views that still the EPF authorities have not consented to the same.

When the directions have followed from Labour Ministry then is it required that PF Authorities should consent to it?

Since it is only a contributory remittance procedure, consent of PF authorities is not necessary

Palak! The matter is still pending. No decision has been taken in this regard. As EPF and ESIC authorities are two different organizations so there are various practical problems in case remittance is made through a single challan under both heads. Ministry of Labour has only suggested and has not finalised as yet.
